  2. Once our team has verified your information, you will use the Volumental foot scanner plug-in on our website for a guided tour to scan your feet. We can also suggest visiting a local participating Volumental retailer in your area for a 3D scan of your feet if you need a little extra help.
  3. Once your order has been placed, our team processes your scan data to create a tailored design just for you.
  4. The footbed is assembled into your chosen sandal or shoe style and shipped directly to your door in as little as 2-4 weeks!
  5. Our first product is Naya, a custom outdoor sandal. We're busy working on some other great models, including a custom running shoe! Stay tuned for more exciting information on our product development schedule!

Our 3D scanning process captures a detailed digital image of your foot using your phone in the comfort of your home or office, or 3D scanners from Volumental available at select retail locations nationwide. The scan takes less than 30 seconds and records precise measurements, including foot length, width, arch height, and overall volumetrics. This ensures a highly accurate digital model of your foot.

What makes your technology different from other custom-fit technologies?

Our custom-fit technology begins with a 3D scan of your foot, followed by a patent-pending process that generates a virtual midsole tailored precisely to your unique anatomy. It’s like a custom orthotic built directly into a shoe, designed specifically for each user—no two pairs are ever the same!

Is the scanning process safe and secure?

I am currently under the care of a podiatrist. Can you work with them to further modify my footwear?

Yes, we can collaborate with your podiatrist to further customize your footwear. Our technology allows us to incorporate specific recommendations from your podiatrist into the design process (such as adding a small lift), ensuring your footwear meets your unique medical needs and provides optimal comfort and support.

When will this be available?

We are taking a limited amount of orders now and are working with select specialty footwear retailers to be able to debut this technology in more U.S. markets in Summer 2025.
