NeoTrek Footwear Launches Truer-Fit™ Socks, Redefining Comfort for Partial-Foot Amputees

Eco-friendly, Premium Socks Designed for Unique Foot Anatomies Now Available

IRVINE, CA  NeoTrek Footwear proudly announces the launch of its first product line – Truer-Fit™ Socks – meticulously designed to serve partial-foot amputees and those with standard foot sizes alike. This innovative product line marks a significant milestone in NeoTrek’s mission to combine adaptive functionality with sustainability, creating socks for many different foot shapes with materials derived from recycled water bottles. This initiative not only addresses foot comfort and health, but also actively contributes to environmental conservation efforts.

Available in unilateral and bilateral partial-foot amputee configurations, as well as standard sock lengths, Truer-Fit™ Socks address a broad demographic of individuals with foot conditions and anatomy differences as well as those seeking additional comfort and support. These socks are initially offered in two sizes and three versatile heights—crew, quarter crew, and ankle—and will come in essential colors of white, gray, and black. Customers can conveniently order configurations specific to their use case, and multi-packs are available as an economic alternative to purchasing individual pairs. Plans to expand the sock color palette with more personalized options for all users in the upcoming months are already underway.

"At NeoTrek, we believe that everyone deserves footwear that fits both their lifestyle and physical needs. There are very few options on the market for these unique customers and these socks are designed with care for a growing population of users with diabetic and vascular concerns.” – Joe Sherbanee, Founder of NeoTrek Footwear and a passionate advocate for accessibility in fashion

Truer-Fit™ Socks incorporate advanced features for enhanced comfort and performance for:

  • Equitable Fit: Available in unisex sizes and styles, the socks stretch slightly to accommodate most everyone, including individuals with partial-foot amputations and other foot anatomy differences.
  • Home Grown Comfort: Designed and manufactured in Conover, NC, USA, NeoTrek’s Truer-Fit™ socks are knit with premium REPREVE® polyester and nylon fibers made from recycled water bottles.
  • User Durability: The fabric’s moisture-wicking capabilities ensure dryness, while its midweight design provides a perfect fit for all-day comfort without adding extra bulk.
  • Targeted Support and Non-Binding Fit: The seamless design and strategically placed padding in sensitive toe and footbed areas helps absorb shock while providing extra cushioning.

"We are not just launching a product; we are advocating for a movement towards comprehensive Foot Equity," added Sherbanee, who became a partial-foot amputee in 2019 and started NeoTrek Footwear to bring adaptive footwear solutions to market. The term ‘foot equity’ characterizes the belief that all individuals should have equal and equitable access to footwear, regardless of their physical shape or size.  This initiative highlights the widespread need for more tailored footwear solutions within the marketplace, underscored by data from the National Institutes of Health, AARP, Institute for Preventive Foot Health, Amputee Coalition of America, and American Academy of Family Physicians, which suggests that over 230 million people globally struggle daily due to unique foot anatomies and conditions.

Innovating beyond socks, NeoTrek is currently developing a range of custom footwear aimed for providing the ultimate in custom fit. In collaboration with Stockholm-based Volumental, a pioneer in the use of foot scanning technologies used to create a perfect fitting shoe, NeoTrek captures foot scan data from participating footwear retailers equipped with the Volumental platform. Then, using a proprietary patent-pending computational modeling and manufacturing process, creates custom footwear tailored specifically for each user.  Both an open-toe sandal and closed-toe runner will be available at select retailers starting in 2025.

Truer-Fit™ Socks are available exclusively via NeoTrek’s website, and will retail for $18.99 (USD) per pair, or $52.99 (USD) for a 3-pair set.
